If the Bride of Christ does not talk about Christ, who else will?



Today, we have access to unlimited information at our fingertips and as much as how it can be a good thing, sometimes it could turn out to be bad when it comes to narrowing down and focusing on just one subject. That's what is happening in churches today. It is good to talk about spiritual warfare, faith, healing, breakthroughs, miracles, prayer, fasting etc but are we speaking bout Christ? Are we really pointing everything back to Him and Him alone?
Christ is in every page of the Scriptures. It is fascinating to encounter to Christ in the Word, every time we read His Word. The Holy Spirit points to Him and if our Bible reading isn't doing that, then who is our guide


When something good happens in our life, we get a good job posting or a new house, car or any type of blessing, we believers often easily say "Thank God...." in front of our colleagues or friends but what if we be more specific and say "Thank you Jesus." It may sound like it's not a big difference but the response you may receive from your peers might differ. The world we live in, is not fond of Christ's name used for good. If we feel hesitant or shy to utter His name publicly, who else will? How many of us could say boldy, "apart from JESUS I  have no good thing." The Church has forgotten bout just preaching Christ alone and revealing His glory alone. Instead, we get distracted with all these sub-topics like mentioned above and make our plates full. 

It is time to bring back Jesus into the churches. It is time to speak more bout Him and Him alone, nothing else. When people fall IN LOVE with Jesus, people will fall OUT OF LOVE from sin automatically. How does one fall in love with Jesus? Revealing His love for that one soul. Jesus loves everyone but He also loves you like there is no one else in the world, that's the specialty of His love.


In Luke 24:27, Christ expounds of Himself to the two disciples who were journeying to Emmaus who were feeling sorrowful about Christ's death.  He shows them, Himself in the Scriptures, in the Torah(writings of Moses) to Prophets, "....all Scriptures concerning Himself". The two disciples did not recognise that it is Christ who is speaking to them about all these(they were "kept from recognising" it is Him-NIV translation). Why didn't Christ reveal Himself to them? So that, today you and I who have never seen Him physically could have hope to see Him in the Word just like how the two disciples did. Christ revealed Himself in the Word. 

Christ is the central theme in every story of the Bible if you take a closer look. In my coming posts, I will be sharing more on this and how we can encounter Jesus, radically in the Scriptures. Yes, be it Old Testament or New Testament. It is time to reveal Him in all His fullness!

In this day and age, we see the rapidly growing prejudicial mindset against the Grace of God that has been nurtured by many, unintentionally or intentionally.
